President & Chief Executive Officer-Elect

Eric Andersen is President & Chief Executive Officer-Elect of American International Group, Inc. (AIG).  Mr. Andersen is expected to assume the role of CEO and join the AIG Board of Directors on or after June 1, 2026, following a transition period.

During his three-decade career in insurance prior to AIG, Mr. Andersen held senior executive roles at Aon.  Most recently he was a member of Aon’s Executive Committee and a strategic advisor to the CEO. Previously, he served as President of Aon, CEO of Aon Benfield, and CEO of Aon Risk Solutions Americas. During Mr. Andersen’s tenure, he led global programs that delivered meaningful impact for Aon’s clients, strengthened enterprise performance and contributed to the company’s overall financial results. He is actively involved with the Federal Advisory Committee on Insurance and the Insurance Development Forum.

Mr. Andersen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Colgate University and holds an MBA from Fordham University. He serves on the Board of Trustees of Colgate University and on the Board of Directors of Covenant House New Jersey.
