What is Management Liability Insurance?

Management Liability Insurance helps protect directors, officers, managers, board members, and business entities from exposures that arise from a variety of activities. This type of insurance is sometimes called “financial lines” or “executive liability insurance” and can cover everything from cyber-crime to harassment and discrimination allegations. A company can be held responsible for mismanagement even if the party responsible no longer works there. With so many different types of management liability scenarios, organizations often need a suite of products to protect against a variety of claims. This goes a long way toward protecting against reputation loss, company morale, and legal costs.

The scenarios described herein are offered only as examples. Coverage depends on the actual facts of each case and the terms, conditions and exclusions of each individual policy. Anyone interested in the above product(s) should request a copy of the standard form of policy for a description of the scope and limitations of coverage.
