Why Should I Consider Joining AIG?

Joining AIG as a Summer Intern or Full-Time Analyst is a great way to enhance your business acumen and gain insight into our industry.  Interns work closely with mentors and colleagues who challenge you with meaningful, business-critical projects. In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, you are exposed to other business areas within AIG to gain a broader knowledge of what we do. During the summer, AIG will assess your fit within the organization and your potential contribution as a Full-Time Analyst. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to consider AIG as part of your future career plans.

Full-Time Analysts work within a business function, gaining a broad exposure to your particular area of interest. Our full-time program is an exclusive and competitive program for graduates from all degree disciplines. It is truly global in nature, including the initial training program, during which time all new hires convene in a central location.

Rapid advancements in technology, like the Internet of Things are changing the world we live in. What kind of applicants are you looking for?

We’re seeking candidates who have excelled in previous work experience, demonstrated outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement, possess strong analytical, quantitative, and interpersonal skills, and are enthusiastic about and committed to the insurance industry.

Ideal candidates are bold, entrepreneurial thinkers with a powerful blend of IQ (technical skills, consistent learning, statistical, and financial acumen) and EQ (adaptive communication, empathy, listening skills).  We also look for a diverse background of experience, culture, and thought. Successful candidates typically have a global perspective and a team-oriented track record.

Will AIG be visiting my campus?

Check with your school's career center for our job posting and calendar of events.

Can I apply through my school's career website?

If you attend a campus where AIG conducts interviews, please submit an application online and through the on-campus recruiting portal at your career center. For universities at which AIG postings are not available, simply apply online at aig.com/careers. AIG welcomes applicants from all schools.

Can I apply to more than one group or region?

Yes, but remember that you will need to explain your interests in and understanding of each area. We encourage you to explore our businesses and meet with our teams to determine which areas interest you most.

What happens during the interview process?

Your first point of contact will be with an AIG recruiter. After an initial interview with a recruiter, you may be invited to interview with a business member or team of interviewers. We schedule interviews on campus and interview super days to allow candidates to gain a stronger knowledge of our company, to better understand our culture, and to meet various members of the business.

Is career mobility an option?

Certainly! AIG offers the industry’s most robust platform for starting a global career, and we encourage all employees to build skills across multiple business lines and geographies.

Do I need relevant work experience to apply?

Relevant work experience is an advantage, but it is not required to apply for the summer or full-time programs.

Do you offer entry-level jobs outside of AIG’s campus recruiting program?

Yes. All jobs are posted on our careers site. Please apply online to be considered.
