Building Skills for the Future

AIG’s 2026 Summer Internship Program brought together more than 140 interns across North America and the United Kingdom to explore career opportunities.

From day one, interns were immersed in AIG's business, contributing to projects that support clients and operations around the world. Along the way, they gained industry knowledge, built professional connections and explored career opportunities across Underwriting, Claims, Actuarial, Finance, IT and more.

"What surprised me most about AIG was definitely the amount of responsibility and exposure I was given," says Michael Figueroa, an underwriting intern in New York.

Learning without limits

Interns are encouraged to take on meaningful assignments, ask questions and contribute from the start. Supported by managers, mentors and colleagues, they gain a firsthand look at how AIG serves clients while developing the skills needed to thrive in the workplace of the future.

"My manager is very supportive of my learning, my development and every question I have," says Viva Sachdev, an underwriting intern in New York.

Beyond learning from their managers and teams, interns also built connections that increased exposure opportunities.

"I have been able to liaise with people from across the globe and gain insights into different cultures and ways of working," says Isabel Cropper, a multinational intern in London.

Early career professionals interested in joining AIG are encouraged to consider the Full-Time Analyst Program, a two-year opportunity designed to help those embarking on their insurance careers learn key skills and develop into future leaders.

AIG's commitment to developing future talent was recognized once again this year with the Handshake Early Talent Award, marking the fourth consecutive year AIG has been recognized as an employer of choice for Gen Z professionals.
