A Week to Remember at the 2026 AIG Women’s Open
Our clients, broker partners and colleagues strengthened connections, took part in insightful sessions and left inspired by the momentum in women’s sports.
Shiho Kuwaki’s thrilling playoff victory at the 2026 AIG Women’s Open capped an unforgettable week at Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club that extended well beyond the golf course.
As the world’s top golfers competed in the 50th edition of the Championship, AIG welcomed more than 180 clients, broker partners, colleagues and emerging leaders from across the insurance industry for a week of engagement, learning and shared momentum. Guests had the opportunity to experience AIG’s commitment to advancing the women’s game by playing the Championship course and seeing the world-class player amenities firsthand.
Highlights included discussions with female sports legends and leading business and geopolitical experts on and off the golf course.
A two-day AIG Women's Leadership Forum for rising leaders from AIG and its broker partners featured a panel discussion and offered learning sessions and golf lessons, giving participants an immersive look at the energy surrounding the Championship.
Surging crowds and record viewership
The week also drew record momentum, with the highest attendance since AIG became title sponsor in 2019 and some of the strongest broadcast and digital engagement figures in the Championship’s history. Around 55,000 fans visited Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club in the UK across all five days, underscoring the Championship's growing global impact.
From an unforgettable playoff finish on the 18th hole to meaningful conversations with clients, broker partners and colleagues, the 2026 AIG Women’s Open underscored the power of sport to bring people together, elevate women’s achievement and create lasting business impact.
We celebrate all the athletes who took part in the Championship and look forward to continuing the momentum at next year’s Championship, played for the first time at Royal St George’s Golf Club in Sandwich, England.
