Constance Hunter
Executive Vice President, Global Head of Strategy & ESG
Constance Hunter is a member of AIG’s Executive Leadership team. In her role as Executive Vice President, Head of Strategy and ESG, Constance uses applied economics to capitalize on strategic opportunities to drive profitable growth for AIG and deliver sustainable value to its stakeholders.
Constance is an expert in macroeconomic and industry analysis, having been recognized among the first economists to forecast pivotal economic events, including the impacts of COVID-19 on the U.S. and other global economies, the 2007 real estate and credit crisis, and the 2001 bust of the Dotcom bubble.
She is a past president and former board member of the National Association for Business Economics (NABE) where she has also been recognized as a fellow. She continues to serve on the NABE Statistics Committee. She presently serves on the board of the National Bureau for Economic Research (NBER), is a member of the Federal Economic Statistics Advisory Committee (FESAC) and a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Prior to joining AIG, Constance was the Chief Economist for KPMG and a member of its Growth and Strategy leadership team. Also, she previously served as Deputy Chief Investment Officer at AXA Investment Managers, where she helped lead the management of more than $500 billion in fixed income assets.
Constance earned a B.A. in economics and sociology from New York University, a master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and the Certified Business Economist designation from the National Association for Business Economics.
