Mr. Warshawsky leads the firm’s capital raising and investor relations activities, is responsible for product development, new business initiatives, and oversees investment strategy and research. He is also a member of the AIG Affordable Housing Investment Committee. Before assuming his current responsibilities, Mr. Warshawsky worked on the acquisition and development of U.S. real estate investments: sourcing, underwriting and closing new investment opportunities.
Prior to joining AIG Global Real Estate, Mr. Warshawsky was Vice President of Business Strategy for AIG Investments where he launched new businesses including AIG’s residential mortgage lending platform, restructured AIG Federal Savings Bank, and managed AIG’s European banking and consumer finance ventures. He previously served in a number of corporate strategy and business development roles within AIG, advising on dozens of M&A transactions, and over $15 billion of debt and equity financings during his career. Prior to AIG, Mr. Warshawsky was an investment banker at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc., advising companies on debt and equity financings, and mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Warshawsky received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Yeshiva University, where he graduated magna cum laude. He is a CFA® charterholder and a full member of the Urban Land Institute.
