Accident & Health Licensing and Appointment Requirements

Licensing and Appointment Requirements

As an industry leader with more than 50 years of experience providing A&H solutions, AIG is firmly committed to working with our business partners to ensure principled corporate governance. It is imperative that our collective business practices are in compliance with applicable state and federal insurance laws and regulations that may impact you and your clients.

To that end, we want to ensure that all individual and entity producers (agents and brokers) who market or sell our products are appropriately licensed in their resident state, as well as the states in which their policyholders reside, and are properly appointed with us where required.

As an insurance producer, it is your responsibility to know and comply with the laws and regulations of the states in which you do insurance business.
