Shane Fitzsimons is Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of AIG. He heads AIG’s Shared Services, Financial Planning & Analysis and Corporate Real Estate functions. Mr. Fitzsimons leads AIG 200, a global multi-year effort focused on positioning AIG for the future and is responsible for developing and implementing a global strategy for AIG to accelerate the creation of end-to-end, digitally enabled and scalable processes that enhance the customer and user experience. He also oversees AIG’s strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
A Chartered Accountant from Ireland, Mr. Fitzsimons joined AIG from TATA Group, an Indian multinational conglomerate, where he served as Group Synergy Officer, leading efforts to enable synergies across the Group’s diverse set of businesses. Prior to TATA Group, he spent over 20 years at GE in operational and financial leadership roles across the United States, Asia and Europe. These roles included Global Head of Shared Services, Chief Financial Officer for all international operations and Head of Financial Planning and Analysis across the company. Before GE, Mr. Fitzsimons spent seven years in public accounting in Ireland and in the Netherlands. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
Mr. Fitzsimons is actively involved in community efforts. He has served on the Bridgeport Hospital Board of Directors and was co-chair of Team Connecticut for the Special Olympics.
