Karen Ling is Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of AIG. She is responsible for aligning AIG’s talent strategy with the company’s long-term strategic, operational and financial objectives, and she oversees all aspects of human capital management, including talent acquisition, training, development, compensation and benefits, and diversity and inclusion as well as corporate citizenship.
Ms. Ling joined AIG in July 2019 from Allergan plc, where she served for five years as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. Prior to Allergan, Ms. Ling was Senior Vice President, Human Resources, for Merck & Co., Inc.’s Global Human Health and Consumer Care businesses worldwide, and before that she was Group Vice President, Global Compensation & Benefits at Schering-Plough. Earlier in her career, Ms. Ling spent 14 years at Wyeth in various positions of increasing responsibility developing HR strategies for business units and working in Wyeth’s Labor & Employment Department.
Ms. Ling serves on the Boards of Directors of TherapeuticsMD and two non-profit organizations, the JED Foundation and ExpandED. She holds a J.D. from Boston University School of Law and a B.A. from Yale University.
