For the third consecutive year, AIG has earned a place on DiversityInc’s 25 Noteworthy Companies for Diversity list. To earn this spot, the strength of AIG’s ability to leverage diversity and foster an inclusive environment through hiring, retaining and developing women, members of unrepresented groups and veterans was considered.

DiversityInc’s 25 Noteworthy Companies list is comprised of companies whose data indicates they have the ingredients in place to potentially make the Top 50 list in the future.  “We are pleased to have achieved this recognition for the third consecutive year,” says Walter Hurdle, AIG’s Global Chief Diversity Officer. “It is a tribute to those employees and leaders who contributed their time and passion in our continuing journey to make AIG a more inclusive place to work.”

DiversityInc’s annual survey, now in its 17th year, is the most rigorous, data-driven survey of its kind, gauging detailed demographics on race/ethnicity and gender at over 1,000 U.S. employers. AIG was evaluated on a 300-question survey in four areas:

·         Talent Pipeline (workforce breakdown, recruitment).

·         Equitable Talent Development (employee resource groups, mentoring, philanthropy).

·         CEO/Leadership Commitment (accountability for results, personal communications).

·         Supplier Diversity.
