Clients, brokers, and the industry recently recognized AIG for excellence in claims service in two Advisen rankings this spring.
Casualty #1 in 2015 Advisen Claims Satisfaction Survey
U.S. clients with more than $1 billion in revenue ranked AIG first in casualty claims service in a recent survey. In this category, AIG earned the top spot, with a 12 percent lead over the second place company, third-party administrator (TPA) Gallagher Basset, and a 50 percent lead over the next highest ranking insurance carrier claims department. Nearly 90 percent of Casualty risk managers participating in the Advisen Claims Satisfaction Survey stated that claims handling is an” important” or “very important” factor when choosing their insurance partner. The survey looked at both carriers and TPAs that “provided the highest quality claims services based on a variety of claims handling best practices.”
Overall, the 544 brokers and clients of all sizes who participated in the survey ranked AIG second in financial lines and third in casualty claims service.
2015 RMIS (Risk Management Information Systems) Review published by Advisen
Advisen’s RMIS Review ranked AIG’s IntelliRisk Advanced the number one insurer system, with a rating of “excellent.” This is the fifth time that this independent review (now published by Advisen and previously published by IRMI) placed AIG in the top spot based on feedback from clients.
IntelliRisk Advanced gives brokers and risk managers detailed, real-time information throughout the claims process, including adjuster activity, alerts on significant claim events, and customizable reports.
“The IntelliRisk suite array of client systems was the top ranked insurer system this year,” says the RMIS Review. “Advanced IntelliRisk provides detailed analysis to clients, while the traditional IntelliRisk is available to any AIG business policy holder. The technology and the functionality of the software, and the size of the service staff, [show] the continued interest and investment that AIG places in IntelliRisk.”
Says Chief Claims Officer Rick Woollams: “Our work on IntelliRisk supports our view that getting more and better claims data to our commercial policyholders is better for everybody. We’re pleased that Advisen has recognized the improvements we’ve made.”
