AIG topped the list in a survey of more than 400 independent producers about preferred providers of environmental coverage. The survey, conducted by PropertyCasualty360 and Flaspöhler Research Group, asked the companies to name the best carriers for the lines of business that those producers write and that require environmental coverage. Asked to base their rankings upon the ways environmental coverages can be used, performance, and perceptions of insurers, among other topics, the producers chose AIG ahead of XL, Chubb, ACE, and Zurich.
“AIG has worked very hard to establish the most comprehensive package of environmental offerings in the business,” notes Environmental Division Executive Lana Keppel. “To have such a large group of customers validate these efforts is the best possible testament to the team, and to the products and services that keep us at the forefront of the industry. As the marketplace evolves, we will continue developing insurance solutions that fit the unique needs of the environmental sector while focusing on the customer service that is so central to everything we do.”
AIG’s range of environmental coverage encompasses a broad range of risks and industries, including:
• Pollution Legal Liability (PLL), which manages environmental risks associated with a wide variety of hazards and activities.
• Environmental and General Liability Exposures Program (EAGLE), a single, broad commercial general liability and pollution legal liability policy.
• Contractors Pollution Liability (CPL), a product that protects contractors against pollution caused by covered operations, including work performed by subcontractors.
• NextGen Protection Suite, designed to protect select industries from environmental liability stemming from facilities they own or operate, products they produce, or services they provide.
