Graduate Programs
Management Associate Program
The Management Associate (MA) Program is a two-year program designed to immerse individuals into the AIG culture, preparing them for a leadership position with one of AIG’s member companies. It provides individuals focused business knowledge through a combination of on-the-job training, a variety of general management and professional skills seminars and other programs directly related to their future role.
Qualified
candidates for this program will:
- Be highly motivated and talented individuals
- Possess a master's or other advanced level degree
- Have 2 to 4 years of business experience
- Have strong analytical, interpersonal and project management skills
- Be highly computer literate and proficient in the use of relevant systems

Undergraduate Programs
With the objective of developing exceptional students into exceptional professionals, AIG’s Undergraduate Programs offer comprehensive and accelerated training designed to build the technical knowledge and skills you will need for a rewarding and challenging career with the AIG companies. You will experience a combination of self-study, classroom, and on-the-job assignments that will quickly develop your professional knowledge. In fact, many of the AIG Companies' top managers began their careers in one of our training programs.
Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree with a GPA of 3.0 and above. Relevant summer internship/work experience and excellent oral/written communication skills are essential. Computer proficiency (Microsoft Word and Excel) preferred.

Accounting Analyst Program --
The goal of the Accounting Analyst Program is to train entry level accountants and develop their skills through rotations in multiple business lines. This comprehensive program builds the technical knowledge and skills necessary to be a successful Accounting Analyst. During the 18-month program, Analysts will have a total of three accounting or audit rotations in business and corporate areas. Training, development, and networking activities coupled with on-the-job experience are offered to support long-term career development. Analysts may be placed in one of our four major business lines; General Insurance, Life and Retirement Services, Financial Services, and Asset Management; or in a corporate function such as Internal Audit or Corporate Comptrollers. Candidates should have a bachelors degree in Accounting and a GPA of 3.2 or above.

Actuarial Training Program --
Participants of the Actuarial Training Program will gain hands-on actuarial experience by working within a specific area of AIG's Corporate Actuarial Department in downtown Manhattan . Responsibilities may include: measuring underwriting profitability, determining appropriate loss reserves, monitoring rates, pricing large accounts, and preparing rate filings for property/casualty lines of business. Corporate actuaries interact with a variety of departments within the company, including Systems, Underwriting, Legal, Accounting, and Claims. They will also have an opportunity to be simultaneously involved in a wide range of work in both foreign and domestic markets through AIG's global network.
Since actuaries at AIG are expected to complete the examinations offered by the Casualty Actuarial Society, the company provides in-office study time to supplement personal study commitments and pays for relevant review courses and exam study materials. We seek students with a Bachelors degree, preferably in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics or another major with a strong math background. Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, and should be able to work productively either alone or as part of a team.

AIG Investments Analyst Program --
The one-year AIG Investments Analyst Program within AIG's Asset Management business combines hands-on experience with formal instruction and classroom learning. Analysts will gain professional experience within their respective departments and will have the opportunity to take on significant responsibility. Departmental training will be supplemented with classroom learning. Through your training, you will be exposed to various areas of AIG Investments and of AIG, and will acquire skills that will aid in your professional development. Positions vary each year but are generally available within the following areas:
- Finance Controls or Compliance
- Fixed Income
- Domestic or Global Equities
- Operations, Technology or Performance Measurement
- Alternatives, Private Equity or Hedge Funds
- Real Estate

Professional Associate Underwriting Program --
This one-year comprehensive and accelerated underwriting training program combines self-study, classroom and on-the-job assignments. You will learn first-hand how to analyze risk exposures, evaluate insurance and risk management requests, develop client proposals and interact with professionals at all levels of the organization. The technical knowledge and work relationships gained in the Professional Associate Program truly allows trainees to hit the ground running in their underwriting career.

Summer Associate Program
Through this paid internship program, qualified juniors, seniors and graduate students have a unique opportunity to work in and learn more about the insurance and financial services industry from within the ranks of a world leader in all of these fields. The program couples a challenging and rewarding environment, valuable on the-job-training, career enhancement courses, interactive group projects, seminars, and corporate events. While acquiring skills in a specific business discipline, you will be working alongside management and contributing to the company's growth through your professional participation. Summer Associates can be considered for future employment opportunities with the AIG companies upon graduation.

To qualify for the Summer Associate Program, you must be:
- An undergraduate student entering junior or senior year, with a GPA of 3.0 or above majoring in a related business field OR
- A graduate students completing their first year towards a Master's or advanced-level degree
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel preferred
