Claim Settlement Procedures
At Arabian American Insurance Company, we recognize that the Promise we sell is only as good as the method that delivers it. As such, we have established a claims department at each of the three offices we operate in the Kingdom. Our claims representatives are prepared to assist you at all times immediately from the time you intimate a claim. In order to help us speed up the process of handling and settling your claim in a timely manner, you need to be aware of procedures for reporting a loss.
Whether it’s a car accident, a personal accident, a cargo loss, a fire, a storm or flood, travel related incidents or an incident involving liability to third parties, you should always report the incident and/or loss to us immediately when you are aware of it, either by phone, fax or email. This will enable us to asses the incident and interfere at an early stage to manage the loss and assist in controlling it, adjusting it, investigating it and settling it.
Once you report a loss, our claims officers will guide you with regards to the steps you need to take to protect yourself or your assets and to inform you of the required documents to complete a claim file and settle it.
Once the loss is reported and following its adjustment and acceptance we aim to settle the claim within 7 working days, no matter how big it is.
A few hints to keep in mind :-
• Have I settled the Insurance Premium ?
It is very important that premiums due to the Company are settled on their due dates to ensure that cover is valid.
• Do I have copy of the Policy easily accessible ?
Maintain a copy of your Insurance Policy/ies in a safe place and keep it at hand when you contact us to report the loss to provide Policy Number.
• Who should I contact ?
Your Policy will contain the telephone numbers for contacts, it is worth keeping the number(s) and contact names of our Claims Officers or Branch Manager on your mobile phone, at your office and at home for easy access
