Program Target:

  • Target Risks:

    • Non-hazardous* independent, solid waste haulers serving cities and towns with less than 150,000 in population
    • Rural and/or suburban route
    • 5-100 units in fleet
    • Radius of operations less than 75 miles
    • No ownership or operation of landfills
    • Minimum premium of $15,000
    • 4953 Refuse Systems
    • *Hazardous Waste Haulers, medical waste collections and owned landfills can be covered through a separate hazardous waste hauler program administered by the program administrator.
  • Ineligible Risks:

    • No municipalities
  • Geographic:

    • Nationwide except AK and NJ

    • Separate Stand Alone Pollution Liability policy provided through a separate program administered by the program administrator

Submission Requirements:

  • Program Supplemental Questionnaire is required with all submissions, and must be signed by the insured
  • Completed ACORD Applications, signed by the insured, including detailed property information to include construction, occupancy, square footage and age.
  • Environmental Impairment Liability Application (if applicable) 
  • 5 years of recently valued company loss runs (a loss summary is helpful)
  • Details/explanation of losses over $10,000
  • Full description of operations, including those of additional Named Insureds
  • Expiring premiums and target premiums for all lines of coverage
  • Drivers list, including MVR's
  • Complete vehicle identification numbers (VIN)
  • Narrative, photos and brochure, if available

Broker Requirements:

Current Appointment with the program administrator or, if not, complete the following items:

  • Broker Agreement
  • IRS W-9
  • Copy of E and O Certificate or Declaration Page
  • Copy of the agency’s license per location
  • Agency Profile Document
  • If multiple locations, include a list and confirm ALL locations are covered under the operation’s Errors and Omissions policy
