AIG has been the recipient of a number of awards acknowledging our diversity initiatives. The recognition has come from organizations and publications that support diversity and inclusion.

In April 2008, the Urban Financial Services Coalition named AIG as the 2008 Financial Institution of the Year for our excellent management, outstanding commitment to local communities and our positive diversity practices.

In March 2008, Terri Austin, AIG's Chief Diversity Officer, was named one of The Network Journal's 25 Influential Black Women in Business.

In August 2007, AIG was given the Title I Americans with Disabilities Act Employment Award from New York Mayor Bloomberg. Click here for more information.

In July 2007, Business Insurance selected Terri Austin, AIG's Chief Diversity Officer, as one of the 2007 Women to Watch.

In June 2007, AIG was named one of the Top 100 Companies for Diversity in Corporate America by Black Professionals magazine.

In May 2007, The National Law Journal named Anastasia Kelly, AIG Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Senior Regulatory and Compliance Officer, one of the 50 Most Influential Women in America.

In April 2007, AIG was named one of the country's top 50 companies for offering the most generous fertility and/or adoption benefits to employees by Conceive Magazine.

In December 2006, AIG received the Commitment to Excellence Award from Abilities Inc. and National Business and Disability Council for its ongoing commitment to employing individuals with disabilities.

Named one of the 25 Influential Black Women in Business for 2006 by The Network Journal, AIG's Jessica C. Isaacs sits on the Board of the Executive Leadership Council (ELC).

The Robert Toigo Foundation gave AIGGIG the Bringing Leadership to Life award for setting new standards for its progressive and creative approach to understanding diversity and its commitment to creating a work environment reflective of society.

In 2006, Business Insurance named Anastasia Kelly (American International Group, Inc.), Melissa Kerns (AIG Risk Management Group) and Cecilia Norat (American International Group, Inc.) as Women to Watch. The mission of this report is to identify women who are leading change in commercial insurance, risk management, employee benefits and related fields.
