As part of our firms 95th Anniversary we pledged to make a $95,000 donation to one of three charities that we partner with, and asked you to help us make the decision by commenting on Facebook. We want to give a special thanks to members and supporters of all of the organizations that participated: American Heart Association, Junior Achievement, and Warfighter Sports/Disabled Sports USA.
After tallying up the votes, we’re proud to announce the recipient of the $95,000 donation is Warfighter Sports/Disabled Sports USA! Congratulations!
We spoke to retired U.S. Army veteran and member of Warfighter Sports/Disabled Sports USA, Kirk Bauer who said:
“Disabled Sports USA is thrilled to win AIG’s #GivingTuesday campaign. The $95,000 donation will allow us to serve more severely wounded warriors who are requesting adaptive sports opportunities through our Warfighter Sports program. These wounded warriors deserve every opportunity to rebuild their lives through sports, and this donation will make a major difference. Beyond the campaign, we take great pride in the long-term relationship we have with AIG through the AIG Winter Summit at Stowe. Each year, wounded warriors ski and snowboard at the Winter Summit while AIG and its partners give generously at the event to support the Warfighter Sports program across the country. Thank you AIG!” – Kirk Bauer, JD (U.S. Army Retired)
