For the second consecutive year, the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (CEMEFI) has honored AIG Mexico as a socially responsible enterprise for our commitment to financial education, to the environment, and to the quality of life of our teams.

CEMEFI is a non-profit association that aims to promote a culture of philanthropy and social responsibility in Mexico and strengthen the organized participation of society. The nonprofit has identified socially responsible organizations in Mexico for the past 17 years.

“We are part of a global company whose actions are guided by our vision, mission, and values, and whose commitment to corporate citizenship is unwavering,” commented Marcelo Hernández, Country Manager, AIG Mexico. “We aim to make AIG Mexico a prime example of this by creating initiatives that crystallize our ambitions to give back to the community.”

AIG Mexico teams have partnered with Con Ganas de Vivir (“With a Will to Live”) to help take cancer patients behind the scenes at a car racing track. Patients participated in driving simulations, visited racing pit stops, and met with a professional racecar driver.

AIG Mexico has also launched a Wellness Week for employees, which includes talks on topics such as stress management and nutrition, as well as meetings with members of Mexico’s Institute of Social Security, who provide consultations and free vaccines.
