President and Chief Executive OfficerVIEW PROFILE
Brian Duperreault is President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of American International Group, Inc. (AIG). Prior to assuming this role in May 2017, he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hamilton Insurance Group, a Bermuda-based holding company of property and casualty insurance and reinsurance operations in Bermuda, the U.S. and the UK.
Mr. Duperreault was President and Chief Executive Officer of Marsh & McLennan Companies from 2008 to 2012. Before joining Marsh, he served for two years as non-executive Chairman of ACE Limited, an insurance and reinsurance company, and as CEO of ACE from 1994 through 2004.
Prior to joining ACE, Mr. Duperreault served in various senior
executive positions with AIG and its affiliates from 1973 to
Mr. Duperreault is Chairman of Attune, a data-enabled company
established by Hamilton Insurance Group, AIG and Two Sigma, and
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Blue Marble
Microinsurance. He is the former Chairman of the Board of Overseers of the School of Risk Management of St. John’s University, New York.
Mr. Duperreault is a member of the Boards of the International
Insurance Society, the Insurance Information Institute, the Bermuda
Institute of Ocean Studies (BIOS), Johnson
Controls, and Saint Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Executive Vice President Global Chief Operating OfficerVIEW PROFILE
Peter Zaffino is AIG’s Global Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). He leads the day-to-day business of all country operations – including U.S. Commercial field operations and AIG’s Multinational organization – as well as Global Business Services, Administration and Communications. Working closely with the CEO and ELT, he is also responsible for developing AIG’s long-term strategy and operating plans, and for executing against key priorities in the Commercial and Consumer businesses.
Mr. Zaffino has over 25 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry. He joined AIG in August 2017 from Marsh & McLennan Companies (MMC), where he was CEO of Marsh – one of the world’s largest brokers – as well as Chairman of Risk and Insurance Services for MMC.
Prior to being named Marsh CEO in 2011, he was President and CEO of Guy Carpenter & Company, having previously held a number of senior roles at the firm. Before joining Guy Carpenter in 2001, he held several senior positions, including serving in an executive role with a GE Capital portfolio company.

Doug Dachille is Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of AIG. He oversees the Science function. Before joining AIG in September 2015, Mr. Dachille served as CEO of First Principles Capital Management LLC., an investment management firm which AIG acquired and now operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary.
Mr. Dachille is a proven leader in financial services and investments, with more than 25 years of experience in creating asset management solutions, and has a deep understanding of client liabilities. Prior to co-founding First Principles, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Zurich Capital Markets, an integrated alternative investment asset management and structured product subsidiary of Zurich Financial Services.
He began his career at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where he served as Global Head of Proprietary Trading and co-Treasurer, and built the hybrid derivatives business.
Mr. Dachille earned his Bachelor of Science degree in a special joint program through Union University and Albany Medical College, and later was a Pew Scholar in Medicine, Arts, and Social Sciences at the University of Chicago.
Executive Vice President Chief AuditorVIEW PROFILE
Donna DeMaio is Executive Vice President and Chief Auditor.
Donna served as Executive Vice President of Arch Capital Group upon sale of United Guaranty to Arch, ensuring a successful integration. Prior to the acquisition of United Guaranty Corporation by Arch Capital, Ms. DeMaio was president, chief executive officer and chair of the board of United Guaranty. As chief executive officer, Ms. DeMaio was responsible for the overall performance and strategic direction of United Guaranty. Under her leadership, the company reached record-breaking profitability, financial stability, and mortgage insurance sales volume.
Before joining United Guaranty in 2012, Ms. DeMaio was president, CEO and chair of the board of MetLife Bank. Prior to that, she was the company’s chief financial officer from 2002 through 2005. During her tenure with MetLife, she provided executive management of the bank’s seven business lines growing the Bank from a start-up to a top 10 mortgage originator with more than 6,000 employees across 200 locations.
Prior to joining MetLife, Ms. DeMaio was a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers specializing in financial services, including two years as a National Office technical consulting partner specializing in structured finance transactions. Ms. DeMaio has served as an executive group member of the Housing Policy Council and has been a member of the Board of Governors of the Mortgage Banking Association. She has been included among the Top 25 Women in Banking by American Banker (formerly U.S. Banker) several times. Ms. DeMaio is a member of the Executive Board of the Greensboro Partnership, and serves on the Board of Opportunity Greensboro, Wyndham PGA tournament and Elon University’s Love School of Business.
Ms. DeMaio is a certified public accountant and earned a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from Muhlenberg College, where she double-majored in accounting and business and serves as a member of the President’s Advisory Council.
Executive Vice President and Chief Information OfficerVIEW PROFILE
Martha Gallo is Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer. She joined AIG in May 2015 as Chief Auditor.
Ms. Gallo has more than 30 years of experience from JP Morgan Chase,
where she served in a variety of executive roles, most recently as
Head of Compliance and Regulatory Management, and, before that, as
General Auditor. In recent years, she has worked extensively with
major regulators in key jurisdictions around the world.
Ms. Gallo’s strategic direction, deep understanding of risk and
control frameworks, and insights into the regulatory landscape serve
as touchstones for the entire company and the Board’s Audit
Committee.She is a graduate of Cornell University, with a B.S. in
Human Development and Family Studies and a M.B.A. in Accounting and
Finance. Ms. Gallo currently serves on the Board of the Battery Park
City Authority and is Co-Chair of the Women’s Refugee Commission
Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer ConsumerVIEW PROFILE
Kevin Hogan is Chief Executive Officer of Consumer. He rejoined AIG in October 2013 and is responsible for AIG’s Retirement, Life, and Personal Insurance businesses, providing annuities, mutual funds, life, health, disability, auto, personal accident, personal property, and service programs including extended warranty and travel insurance products and services. AIG’s Japan operations and the Consumer Claims organization will report to Mr. Hogan.
Mr. Hogan, who previously had a 24-year career at AIG, was most recently Chief Executive Officer of Global Life, Zurich Insurance Group, and was a member of the Zurich Executive Committee.
Mr. Hogan started his career in 1984 at AIG with American International Underwriters (AIU) in New York, and subsequently held management positions in Chicago, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Singapore. In 1998, he was appointed President of AIG’s Accident & Health division in New York and was elected an AIG Vice President in 2001. In 2002, he also became Chief Operating Officer of AIU.
In 2003, Mr. Hogan moved to Beijing to assume responsibility for AIG’s partnership with the People’s Insurance Company of China. In 2005, he became AIG’s Senior Life Division Executive for China and Taiwan, where he was responsible for AIA China and Nan-Shan. In 2008, he returned to New York as AIG’s Chief Distribution Officer, Foreign Life and Retirement Services.
Mr. Hogan joined Zurich in December 2008 as CEO, Global Life Americas. In this role, he led Zurich’s life insurance business in North and South America, with accountability for Farmers Life and Zurich’s Latin America Life Operations. He became CEO, Global Life, in July 2010.
He serves on the Board of Directors of the American Council of Life Insurers, the Japan Society, St. John’s University School of Risk Management and the Chatham Day School. Mr. Hogan is a graduate of Dartmouth College.
Executive Vice President Chief Human Resources OfficerVIEW PROFILE
Claudine Macartney is Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. Claudine is known for her leadership and vision at the strategic level, delivering transformational Human Resources initiatives and programs globally for AIG. She is a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors, and is currently a member of the Executive Leadership Team. Claudine has successfully evolved the HR function by delivering value for customers, effectively translating business strategy to people strategy.
As AIG Chief HR Officer, Claudine leads a multi-faceted and diverse team of HR professionals in the development and implementation of a strategic human capital plan that ensures that incentives, professional development, attraction and retention are aligned with strategic goals.
Throughout her 20 year career, Claudine has designed and launched strategies for building winning cultures, enabled authentic leadership programs and advanced HR systems to drive performance and business results. She exhibits sound judgment; expertise in leadership development, compensation and benefits programs, executive recruiting, and training.
Previously, Claudine led the AIG Human Capital Planning and Business Partner Practice utilizing a team of seasoned business professionals who are highly experienced in human capital strategy and implementation. She has served on multiple leadership assignments, new initiatives and work teams, including international assignments. Claudine facilitated the business expansion in developing markets and managed the build-out of the AIG Divestiture group. These assignments have earned her recognition as a thought leader and strategic architect of organizational transformations, and a driver of large scale global change in insurance and across the human resources community.
Claudine holds a B.A. in Political Science from Richard Stockton College and has been with AIG since 1997.

Seraina (Maag) Macia is Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of AIG’s planned technology-focused subsidiary, which will transform the way that AIG delivers and underwrites commercial insurance.
Ms. Macia rejoined AIG from Hamilton Insurance Group (Hamilton), where she served as CEO of Hamilton USA, the group’s U.S.-based operations. Hamilton is a Bermuda-based holding company for insurance and reinsurance operations that underwrite property and casualty risks in Bermuda and the U.S., and at Lloyd’s.
Before being named CEO of Hamilton USA in 2016, Ms. Macia was CEO and Executive Vice President of Regional Management & Operations at AIG, having previously held the role of CEO and President of AIG EMEA, with responsibility for 47 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Prior to joining AIG in 2013, she held several senior positions including Chief Executive of North American Property & Casualty for the XL Group; President of Zurich North America Commercial’s Specialties business unit; and Head of Investor Relations and Rating Agencies for Zurich Financial Services in Switzerland. Before joining Zurich in 2002, Ms. Macia was a founding partner and financial analyst for NZB Neue Zuercher Bank in Switzerland. Between 1990 and 2000, she held various management positions in underwriting and finance at Swiss Reinsurance in Switzerland and Australia.
In 2009, Ms. Macia was elected a Young Global Leader by the
World Economic Forum and named one of Business Insurance magazine’s
Women to Watch. She is a member of the Board of Directors and Audit
Committee of Credit Suisse Group. She holds an MBA from Monash Mt.
Eliza Business School in Australia and is a Certified
Financial Analyst. Ms. Macia is a dual citizen of Switzerland and

Alessa Quane is Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer for
AIG. In this capacity, she heads the Global Enterprise Risk Management
function and is responsible for all aspects of risk management across
the firm, reinsurance, and value based performance metrics.During her
nearly 20 years with AIG, Alessa has held positions of increasing
responsibility within Risk and Actuarial. She most recently served as
Chief Corporate Actuary and head of Global Actuarial and Value
Management, and immediately prior as Chief Risk Officer of AIG
Commercial Insurance, where she was a member of the AIG Enterprise
Risk Management Senior Leadership Team with responsibility for
managing risk across the global commercial insurance business. Alessa
has extensive experience in both the domestic and international
markets, having spent 13 years in Europe. She started the Pricing and
Corporate Actuarial functions in Europe and the UK after which she
moved to NY to start the ERM function for the international business
within Property Casualty.
Alessa is a member of the United Guaranty Board of Directors and also
serves on the AIG Pension Investment Committee. Prior to joining AIG,
she worked for Allstate in pricing and research for non-standard
auto.Alessa is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society, a member of
the American Academy of Actuaries and an affiliate member of the
Institute of Actuaries. In addition, she is a founding member of the
Casualty Actuaries of Europe, served as a member on the International
Issues Committee of the CAS, and is an active presenter on various ERM
topics. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business
Administration with a major in Actuarial Science from Drake

Sid Sankaran is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at AIG. Prior to joining the company as Chief Risk Officer in October 2010, Sid was a partner in the Finance and Risk practice at Oliver Wyman Financial Services, heading the firm’s Toronto office.
Sid is a financial services expert with deep background in capital, actuarial, risk, strategy, and performance management. Earlier in his career, Sid worked at Mercer Risk, Finance & Insurance Consulting and MMC Enterprise Risk, focusing on risk management, insurance company valuation, and mergers and acquisitions.
Sid holds a Bachelor of Mathematics degree with a specialization in
actuarial science and graduated with distinction from the University
of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. He serves on the Board of the Greater
New York chapter of the American Red Cross.
Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Commercial, AIGVIEW PROFILE
Robert S. Schimek is Executive Vice President and CEO of Commercial,
overseeing AIG’s commercial insurance businesses worldwide. He is
responsible for the company’s global property, casualty and financial
lines products and services, including Commercial distribution,
underwriting, claims and operations.
Previously, Mr. Schimek was Chief Executive Officer of the Americas for AIG, responsible for the division’s insurance business in the United States, Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Prior to that, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of EMEA, and Chief Financial Officer of AIG’s global property casualty business.
Before joining AIG, Mr. Schimek was a partner at Deloitte &
Touche L.L.P. where, for 18 years, he used his public accounting
experience to serve global financial institution clients, including
MetLife, The Prudential, and Merrill Lynch.
Mr. Schimek is a C.P.A. He earned his M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of Rider University in New Jersey and sits on the Rider University Board of Trustees.
Mr. Schimek is a member of the Board of Directors of BritishAmerican
Business and a member of the Board of Directors of the American
Insurance Association (AIA).
Executive Vice President & General CounselVIEW PROFILE
Peter Y. Solmssen is General Counsel and Executive Vice President, Legal, Compliance, Regulatory, and Government Affairs. He joined AIG in October 2016.
Prior to AIG, Mr. Solmssen was General Counsel and a Member of the Managing Board at Siemens AG. During his time at Siemens, he was responsible for the company’s business in North and South America.
Before joining Siemens, Mr. Solmssen held a number of senior positions at General Electric Company, including Vice President and General Counsel of GE Plastics and Executive Vice President and General Counsel of GE Healthcare.
Mr. Solmssen was in private practice for 16 years, seven years at
Ballard, Spahr, Andrews & Ingersoll; followed by nine years
at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius. Before entering private practice he
served as a
law clerk for Clarence C. Newcomer, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Solmssen is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania Law School,
cum laude, where he was Articles Editor of the Law Review, and Harvard
College, magna cum laude. He read law at Brasenose College, Oxford
University, on a Knox Fellowship.
