In Hungary, successful teamwork has led to a strong focus on business partner satisfaction.
In previous years, the top spot eluded AIG Hungary at the country's largest annual insurance broker conference. Having secured the runner-up position in 2014 and third place in 2012, the team was determined to switch fates and walked away triumphant – winning first place in the Corporate Property Service category earlier this month.
The award is based on feedback from over 100 broker members of the Association of Independent Insurance Brokers in Hungary (FBAMSZ), including some of the most influential global and local intermediaries in Hungary.
Some measures introduced by the team to increase AIG's responsiveness, and bring value to the broker-partner relationships include:
- One AIG Academy sessions for key brokers;
- Assigning a dedicated resource in administration and claims services for select brokers;
- Ease of access to dedicated consultation services with specialist underwriters;
- Support for broker acquisition; and
- Invitations to regular Claims Advisory Board sessions for supportive brokers.
Barna Sugar, General Manager, AIG Hungary, said, "We have come a long way in our collective journey towards becoming more customer-centric and collaborative when dealing with clients and business partners, and I'm really pleased that our efforts were recognized in front of all our competitors. I would sincerely like to thank every colleague in AIG Hungary for helping to make our dream a reality. Without their dedication and hard work, this would not have been possible."
Ottó Hergert, Casualty Manager, AIG Hungary, said, "Each of us has worked hard for this result. But we can't sit back – we will continue to improve our product and service offering and listen closely to feedback from our partners in order to maintain our leadership position."
Patrick Mahieu, Managing Director, East Zone, said, "This award proves that teamwork and commitment, when combined with a customer-focused strategy, always bring success."
Tom Doherty, Interim Head of Sales Management and Client, EMEA, added, "I congratulate Barna, Patrick, and the entire Hungary team for their success. Well done to all!"
