Hylant, one of the nation's largest privately owned insurance brokerage firms, recently recognized AIG with its 2014 Hylant Claims Excellence Award. To determine the winner, Hylant analyzed the claims performance of all property-casualty insurance companies with whom they interact on a daily basis and Hylant employees from claims, production, risk management and senior management were asked one question: “Which insurance carrier’s claims organization was most helpful to you in 2014?” AIG was a top vote-getter. AIG Regional Claims Executives Kirk Stubbee and Bill Slife accepted the award at a special luncheon hosted by Hylant.
“This award reflects AIG’s commitment to strong customer service, technical excellence, and the great value provided by its Regional Claims Executives,” said Hylant Executive Vice President Richard Hylant. “Our congratulations go out to Kirk, Bill, and the entire AIG team.”
AIG’s path to earning this award started several years ago when Kirk and Bill first began managing the relationship and invited Hylant Claims Practice Leader Will Weaver to join AIG’s regional Claims Advisory Board in Chicago. Hylant’s participation on the board and Kirk and Bill working together with Hylant’s team to resolve issues impacting mutual clients cemented the relationship. The bond was strengthened further when AIG extended its claims promise to Hylant and its clients – once coverage is confirmed, AIG will pay 50 percent of the agreed to loss for property damage, clean-up, and extra expense within 7 days.
“We are honored to be recognized with the 2014 Hylant Claims Excellence Award,” said AIG Chief Claims Officer Rick Woollams. “It demonstrates the fine work of our claims professionals and the equally fine work Bill, Kirk and their peers have done to build a strong partnership with Hylant’s brokers and clients.”
Founded in 1935, Hylant and is a full-service regional insurance brokerage with 14 offices in Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, and Florida. AIG’s total consolidated in-force GWP with Hylant is approximately $104 million.
