This year, the Marketing Institute of Ireland honored AIG Laya Healthcare with the Customer Experience Award at the annual All Ireland Marketing Awards, held in Dublin. Speaking to a crowd of 850 people, the marketing organization acknowledged Laya’s commitment to “Looking after you always,” a phrase which serves as an acronym for Laya’s name.

The Marketing Institute of Ireland publishes articles on key issues and challenges facing CMOs and marketing executives in the Irish market. The All Ireland Marketing Awards ceremony is Ireland’s marketing showcase. Out of hundreds of participating companies, judges select only 18 winners for awards spanning multiple marketing disciplines.

Laya Healthcare, a part of AIG since 2015, is Ireland’s second-largest health insurance provider, with over half a million healthcare members. To help serve its current and future clients, Laya recently introduced its CX program, which catalogs clients’ experiences to identify pain points and then implements fixes. The CX program has helped lead to increased client satisfaction.

Ben Fearn, Laya Head of Customer Service, and Lorraine Walsh, Laya Head of Marketing, impressed the Marketing Institute of Ireland when they shared information on initiatives that help our clients.

Lorraine said, “We outlined how we listen to, and act on, our clients’ feedback, and how we’ve created a culture that is truly client-centered.”

Tom Trainor, Chief Executive of the Marketing Institute, congratulated the winners, whom he called the “high achievers of the marketing profession.” He noted that, “These are the people and businesses setting the standards in marketing today.”

Last year, the Marketing Institute of Ireland honored Laya with the All Ireland Marketing Award for Corporate Social Responsibility. The award was for Laya’s Super Troopers program, Ireland’s only health homework program which encourages children, their teachers, and their parents to live a healthier lifestyle.
