AIG Europe earned recognition for innovation in multinational business at the 2017 UK Captive Services Awards, held in London. AIG Multinational’s Automated Program Design (ADP) solution won top honors in the Global Program Initiative category.
The innovative ADP solution represents one aspect of AIG’s work to help improve how multinational business transactions are made and bring new value to our clients by investing in people, processes, and technology.
Recognizing the increasing importance of Multinational insurance as the world becomes ever more connected, AIG is working to implement an end-to-end process that improves communication among the dozens of stakeholders involved in the typical multinational insurance program. Developing new ways to connect and communicate roles, responsibilities, and timelines to large groups of stakeholders is helping AIG increase efficiency and certainty for Multinational clients.
Increasing efficiency, ADP can analyze essential information on Multinational clients to help AIG quickly assess their insurance needs and design appropriate master programs. ADP distills the information in AIG Multinational’s Knowledge Hub, a repository of regulatory requirements for over 200 countries, to help AIG’s Service teams deliver rapid value to clients.
ADP technology enables multiple stages of Multinational’s business process, from assisting in initial territory analysis to sending out instructions to local operations, and helps AIG offer a seamless and consistent customer experience to clients and brokers across the globe.
Salil Bhalla, AIG’s Head of Complex Multinational Accounts, UK, who accepted the Global Program Initiative award on behalf of AIG Europe, explained, “Risk management and mitigation is a collective, collaborative effort between the insurer, broker and customer and their captive. Our APD tool enables us to provide risk managers and captives with the clarity they need on their multinational programs.” Bhalla was joined at the Awards event by AIG clients and brokers, as well as by AIG colleagues from the Multinational Centre of Excellence and Network Partner Practice.
This award is the most recent in a series of honors for AIG Multinational in Europe. The APD tool was ‘Highly Commended’ at the 2016 European Captive Services Awards, and AIG Europe’s Fronting team earned top honors at the 2016 European Risk Management Awards for developing a new product for a leading client.
Nuno Antunes, AIG’s Head of Multinational, EMEA, commented on AIG’s win at the UK Captive Service Awards, “This is great recognition from a panel of UK clients for the effort and investment that AIG has committed to Multinational Insurance. There have been many contributors to the success of the APD tool globally, as all products and functions have contributed....”
