This year, AIG won the Gold CLIO Sports Award in the Digital/Mobile category for the AIG and the Haka 360 Experience campaign. This app provided an innovative 360-degree virtual reality experience for rugby fans, amounting to more than 26,000 app downloads in 104 countries, more than three million YouTube views, and unique website visits from over 209 countries.
The CLIOs have recognized creativity in advertising and marketing since 1959. In 2014, the CLIO Sports Awards, an international creative competition, was established to honor excellence specifically within the sports industry.
Judges of the Digital/Mobile category of the 2016 award included a former professional football player-turned television personality, sports marketing executives from professional sports leagues and other distinguished professionals.
