AIG Commercial Insurance Company of Canada (AIGCIC) is proud to issue its first Public Accountability Statement (PAS) for 2008.

Our first PAS sets out AIGCIC’s commitment to be a good corporate citizen, to promote responsible and sustainable products and services and business practices, and to act with integrity and conform to the highest ethical standards in all of our dealings.  

AIGCIC has had a long history of being a responsible corporate citizen.  As part of a global organization, we have committed our resources to developing products and services that address the needs of our clients as well as promote a corporate culture that values integrity, diversity, innovation and excellence. 

For AIGCIC, corporate social responsibility goes beyond donating money or volunteering time to worthy causes, which AIGCIC and its employees have done enthusiastically throughout the years.  Social responsibility is also about operating in a way that is responsible to our customers and our staff, is respectful of the environment and supportive of the communities in which we live and work. 

With the issuance of our first PAS, AIGCIC is committing to increase our efforts in social responsibility.  In the PAS, you will see that we have set out our future goals in each of the areas of Governance, Environmental Responsibility and Social Responsibility.
